Clanfolk - Medieval settlement life game

Clanfolk is a new colonial life simulation game on Steam, set in the medieval Scottish highlands. Clear the land, build a house, hunt, fish, gather, make crafts, get married, raise livestock, build a farm, meet neighbors, rent, trade, run an inn, prepare for winter - there are many interesting quests for you to explore!

Clanfolk is a complex and challenging life simulation adventure game set in the highlands of medieval Scotland. In the game, you have the task of finding a way to live and develop your settlement (Clan). Each tile on the map has a purpose and where you settle and how you build it will play a very important role. The biggest threat to your Clan will be nature itself. Be aware that food will be plentiful at first and nights will be warm, but as the seasons change, resources will run out and careful planning becomes important. Surviving the first winter may not be easy…

Main features of the game Clanfolk

Build your own house
Choose where to start your farm, in a wild land surrounded by mountains, forests, grasslands, and lakes. Over time, you can develop it into an industrial farm, livestock farm, bustling trading station, or quiet forest inn, or maybe a hidden fortress in the mountains. Create unique structures, use fire to light up rooms and dissipate heat to neighboring buildings, till the ground, and harvest and tend livestock.

Experience life to the fullest
From birth to death, your clan will live a life for generations. They will follow a daily schedule, waking up before sunrise, having breakfast, bathing, dressing, and chatting before the day begins. During the day, they would work as hard as their mood and health allowed, and in the evening they would return together to eat, drink and sleep before a new day began. Consider the needs and moods of your people and nurture your clan through many life stages.

Clan building
Occasionally, visitors from surrounding clans will come to your settlement. Over time, your reputation with these clans can grow based on how they are treated as guests, workers, or merchants. Each neighboring clan comes from a unique biome filled with different products and desirable items to trade. Players can run a profitable trade if there is enough trading volume.

Changing seasons
Winter in Clanfolk is always near and time should be used wisely. Each season has temperature ranges, rain, snow, wind, and even storms. Some seasons are the right time to plant and others to harvest. Winter is the time when you stay in a warm and cozy room, reprocessing the materials collected throughout the year. Understanding season transitions and preparing for them is key to survival.
